What types of traction systems does CRRC offer?

CRRC offers three main types of traction systems: High-Speed Rail Traction for 200-350 km/h passenger trains with power ratings up to 1000kW

Metro Traction for urban subway and light rail systems with compact design and 300kW power rating

Locomotive Traction for heavy-duty freight and passenger locomotives with high traction force. All systems feature IGBT power modules, intelligent control, and regenerative braking capability.

What input voltages are supported by CRRC traction systems?

CRRC traction systems support various input voltages: 25kV AC 50/60Hz for high-speed rail and mainline railways (standard in Europe, China, and many countries)

1500V DC for metro and light rail systems (common in European cities)

750V DC for some light rail and tram applications

3000V DC for heavy-haul freight railways. The CRRC-TRACTION-HSR-1000 supports 25kV AC input, while the CRRC-TRACTION-METRO-300 supports 1500V DC input.

What cooling methods are used in CRRC traction systems?

CRRC traction systems use different cooling methods depending on power level and application: Liquid Cooling for high-power applications (>500kW) such as high-speed rail traction, offering excellent thermal performance and compact size

Forced Air Cooling for medium-power applications (100-500kW) like metro traction, providing simpler maintenance and lower cost

Natural Convection for low-power auxiliary systems. The CRRC-TRACTION-HSR-1000 uses liquid cooling, while the CRRC-TRACTION-METRO-300 uses forced air cooling.
