SKHI22B provides 2A output current with basic isolation and essential protection features. Suitable for lower-power applications where cost is primary concern. Key Differences - SKYPER offers 2x higher isolation voltage, 10x higher output current, comprehensive protection, and fault feedback. SKHI provides basic functionality at lower cost. Desaturation protection prevents IGBT damage during short-circuit conditions: Detection Principle - Monitors Vce during IGBT on-state. Normal operation: Vce = 2-3V (saturation). Short-circuit: Vce rises to DC bus voltage (600V+)

Detection Threshold - Typically set at 6-9V using external resistor divider. When Vce exceeds threshold during on-time, fault is detected

Response Time - <2μs from fault detection to soft turn-off initiation

Soft Turn-Off - Gradually reduces gate voltage over 2-5μs to prevent voltage spikes from di/dt during fast current interruption

Fault Output - Open-drain signal to microcontroller for system-level protection
